For the first time in many years, members of the national team, the Black Stars, will be made to pay the appropriate taxes on their earnings and bonuses, an official of the Ghana Footballers Association (GFA) has confirmed.
There are hints about each player receiving US$90,000 when the team gets to the final and about US$20,000 each at the various qualifying stages.

A mobile operator, GLOBACOM, is expected to finally launch its operations in Ghana on Thursday.
GLO announced it will launch its operations in Ghana on January 19th during the Glo-CAF Awards last month.
GLOBACOM had earlier indicated plans to launch its operations in Ghana as the sixth mobile phone service provider on November 17th 2011.
However, the mobile operator rescheduled the launch citing logistical constraints as its reason for the postponement.
